My Cross

Description
This was the tiny cross I made with branches found on the ground. When making it, I said a quick prayer, hope, and intention for the rest of my pilgrimage. I am not Catholic, but the walk was extremely spiritual for me. I leaned into every religious and theological aspect of the experience. I frequently imagined what prayer my staunchly Catholic grandmothers would say if they were in my shoes. I took my little cross and placed it on the fence above a motorway. It joined the thousands of crosses left by other pilgrims. **This photo was taken on Day 13 of my Camino Frances. Somewhere between Logrono & Navarrete**
