Messages From Above

Finding feathers in unexpected places have a special meaning to me. It is a sign from above that I am in the right place. In some spiritual beliefs, the color of the feather has a deeper significance, too. During the last few days of my pilgrimage, I got lost every day. It must have been a mix of fatigue and anxiousness to get to Santiago. The first day I got lost, I shouted in frustration at the heavens. Not long after that outburst, I found this random feather on my path. From then on, I found a feather once a day until I got to Santiago. **This photo was taken on Day 49 of my Camino Frances.
