The Red Cross

Description
Crosses heavily populate the Camino Frances trail. They are in churches, on the facade of homes, in small alters, and often can be seen as stand-alone like this one. A simple iron cross is anchored in slabs of stones in a rural setting. A powerful symbol to encounter after hours of physical exertion. **This photo was taken on Day 36 of my Camino Frances. Somewhere between Foncebadon & Molinaseca**
