Description
When I see this photo, my spirit says, "Lay down your cross"... I heard that saying a lot growing up as a Christian. You go to the altar and lay down your burdens that you want Jesus to heal.
Crosses can be found all along the Camino Frances of various sizes, materials, and levels of intricacy. This simple cross high above a busy highway caught my eye. All along this iron fence are thousands of crosses made of pieces of twigs found in the area. Carefully placed by pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela. I wondered about the hands that made this cross and their burdens/prayers.
**This photo was taken on Day 13 of my Camino Frances. Somewhere between Logrono & Navarrete**
